As part of the design intent for Hinkler Residence, the decision to integrate a central fireplace into the open-plan lounge was driven by both architectural intent and human connection.
Beyond its physical warmth, the hearth provides a striking focal point that honours the home’s original Art Deco heritage while anchoring the new spatial flow.
The furniture placement naturally pivots toward the flame—creating a grounded sanctuary built for connection, not screens, inviting family and friends to slow down and gather together in a space that feels warm and timeless.
